Gloria Glang

Since October 2019, Gloria Glang has been responsible as a board member at the French CAC40 company Legrand, a world leader in electronic and digital infrastructure, for the areas of M&A, strategy, future technologies, digital, design, communication, and the Greenamics-energy efficient products and solutions for buildings and data centers.

She started her career at BASF in controlling, marketing, in-house consulting, and was responsible for global key account management for the customer P&G. She continued her career at KPMG, leading the M&A and strategy consulting for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and accompanying many deals on both the buyer and seller side. She then became a member of the leadership team at PPG, the American world leader in paints and coatings, and led the M&A and strategy department in EMEA and the Africa region for PPG.

In 2016, she took over the management of a global business unit at Clariant in the field of polymers and additives for the plastic, coating, adhesive, care, cosmetic, and agricultural industries, and significantly expanded it, also with capacity investments in Asia and Europe. Throughout her professional career, she has been particularly concerned with leadership and team building issues. Her recipe for professional success includes:

She has been recognized as one of the leading female executives in Switzerland, as “Top 40 under 40”, and has been awarded as “Rising Talent” for the world’s best female executives under the age of 40 who are on their way to becoming influential figures in business and society by the Women’s Forum, Egon Zehnder International, and Eurazeo. She has also been accepted into Generation CEO and is a member of this exclusive women’s network.

In her free time, Gloria is mainly active in sports – practicing yoga, surfing, playing golf, doing fitness, and often being outdoors. She also uses her passion for sports for her teams and organizes “offsides,” where team building works through sports interaction.
