The power of employee networks at Airbus
During this panel discussion, international Airbus employees from different areas of expertise will share their experiences in the various employee networks at Airbus and how those networks support diversity, creating an inclusive working environment.
Details about the moderator Sergio Torralba
Vita: Diversity believer, Sergio Torralba, co-leads the Munich chapter of the Airbus Diversity network "BfB - Balance for Business". He has a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Technology with15 years of experience in Digitalization, Engineering and IT in the Defence and Aerospace sector, having worked based in 3 countries in 2 different continents. He joined Airbus in 2009, and after some business and personal experiences, he realised how important diversity is and how many benefits diversity can bring. Since then, on top of his daily job as Programme Management Office within the Digital Transformation Office, he is putting all his efforts in supporting the company in getting the best from everybody and on helping the people to give their best independently of their identity.
Details about the participant Gleyce Kastl Lima
Vita: Gleyce Kastl Lima studied Business Administration in Brazil, where she was born. She has more than 15 years international experience in different areas such as HR, Marketing, Procurement, Commercial and Finance. Since 2018 she feels personally and professionally fulfilled working with Culture Evolution and Inclusion & Diversity at Airbus. Her mission is to create a higher level of Inclusion & Diversity awareness, striving for an inclusive environment in which people feel they belong to, bringing their best self to the world. She believes that Diversity, in an inclusive environment, is a powerful source of well-being, innovation and engagement, increasing business performance. Her motto is love it, change it, learn from it.
Details about the participant Julia Mohr
Vita: Julia Mohr co-leads the Munich chapter of the Airbus Diversity network "BfB - Balance for Business" and runs the BfB Mentoring Programme for women. She joined Airbus in 2008 after several years dedicated to the Automotive, Shipbuilding and Railway sector at 3M and in the aluminium industry. As Senior Consultant at Airbus Management Consulting, she focuses on developing and boosting businesses, projects and teams. Following her international experiences in Canada, India, South Africa and as expatriate in France, UK and New Zealand, Julia strongly believes in the power of diverse teams. Her daughters drive her passion for gender diversity topics.
Details about the participant Lisa Brunie
Vita: Lisa Brunie recently graduated in Corporate communication and Change Management in France. She started her career in Airbus Helicopters in France as an apprentice in HR transformation and then joined Airbus Defence and Space in Germany in 2018 to work on Culture Evolution topics. She discovered her passion for gender equality and inclusion and diversity topics while studying abroad in United States and getting engaged in student Association.
Details about the participant Elena Alvarez Camps
Vita: Elena Alvarez is a currently a Transformation Manager in Airbus Defence and Space with over 27 years of experience in different military Aviation programmes, covering all aspects of the aerospace product lifecycle, including system design, testing, qualification and production. Elena has extensive international experience of working in a complex multinational military programme, including secondments for 11 years in the UK and 11 years in Germany. She is experienced in leading teams focused on meeting customer requirements, which she achieves through her ability to build strong relationships with the customer by understanding, negotiating and agreeing their requirements. Elena has the ability to successfully manage a wide range of stakeholders (often with opposing views) by using her technical knowledge, her motivation, her passion for people and her communication skills as well as applying traditional and non-conventional problem solving skills and agile methodologies. Her leadership style is based on coaching skills, being an accredited ACTP executive coach. She strongly believes that great successes comes from diverse teams using agile methodologies.
