Career planning Marco Polo – Professional development across country, organizational and functional boundaries
Like Marco Polo, I wanted to speak different languages and live and work in different countries, combined with my interests in digitalization, innovation and improvements. Now, how to make a professional life out of this? Hear about unconventional career decisions, staying true to yourself, following your passions and interests to carve out a meaningful professional journey. I won’t be speaking about a career as I think this concept is too narrow, but about how to navigate corporate environments, how to overcome barriers, pave the way and break free from conventions in conventional environments.

Details about the speaker Corinna Wolf
Vita: Corinna Wolf studied Economic Education with a major in Human Resources and English languages at the Technical University of Dresden. In 2003, she started her first job in Human Resources in the semiconductor industry at Qimonda in Dresden. 2009 she changed to Engie, a global French energy utility provider, where she worked in different senior HR functions in Berlin, Brussels, Paris and Milan. Since 2009, she is part of Infineon, first in Human Resources and, since April 2022, in a Marketing responsibility. Throughout her career, she has been driven by her passion for innovation and digitalization as well as by a strong motivation to provide the best possible solution for customer challenges. Yet with all her appetite for digitalization, she is still a book worm. Her latest discovery: "Think again" by Adam Grant.

Re-entry after maternity leave in combination with first management role (in part-time)
When returning to work after parental leave you might be facing a rough patch in your professional career. The double strain of providing good care for the kid(s) while seeking to pursue a professional career often means an opportunity and a challenge at the same time. If this also concurs with the first leadership role, you depart on a special adventure. Being confronted with often contradicting expectations of family and team members forced me to question some well-laid self-imposed doctrines, but – looking back after my first year in this double role - works better than one might think.

Details about the speaker Julia Krause
Vita: Julia Krause not only completed her master's degree, but also her PhD in electrical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden. After a short but very inspiring time out as a backpacker through Canada and Alaska, she became part of the Infineon family in 2016. There she held various engineering and project management roles. After her maternity leave, she rejoined Infineon in part-time as Senior Manager RF Analog and mmWave Design in October 2021.

Dare taking chances ... and make sure you get them as a female in a technical sector
A career in a company is much about taking arising opportunities – starting from application to an interesting job to going about next career steps. Women tend to be very self-effacing on these chances – if they don’t feel like fulfilling the expectations by more than 100% right from the start … BUT if you don’t dare to take chances – no one will carry you up the ladder. I want to share my personal experience and give you some food for thought and key questions for the next time you will be facing one of these chances, and how to bring yourself in a good position for getting them at all.

Details about the speaker Bettina Dauerer
Vita: Bettina Dauerer has already celebrated ruby wedding anniversary at Infineon. She joined Infineon back at Siemens times in October 1994. She is a true expert when talking about efficiency and automation in production sites of a semiconductor company. Today she is functionally leading four Equipment Automation teams at different Infineon sites in Regensburg, Kulim, Villach and Dresden. She knows what she is talking about when she says “Dare taking chances… and make sure you get them as female in a technical sector.”.
