Still today women* are under-represented in the natural sciences and mathematics and face disadvantages and discrimination because of an implicit bias, which is often unintentional and hardly visible. The Lise Meitner Societyis an independent group of young scientists who aim to raise awareness of these mechanisms, especially in German academia. Furthermore, our goal is to encourage and empower women* to confidently define and follow their goals.
