Stärkung von Entrepreneur:innen im Foodsektor: Eine Reise von kulturellem Erbe und Ernährungsgerechtigkeit
1. In unseren MeetUp diskutieren wir die Rolle von Unternehmerinnen bei der Schaffung nachhaltiger Ernährungssysteme, die unser kulturelles Erbe ehren und bewahren. 2. Des weiteren soll die Bedeutung der Fürsprache für Ernährungsgerechtigkeit und die Stärkung von Entrepreneurinnen im Lebensmittelsektor hervorgehoben werden. 3. Ziel dieser Diskussion ist es, den Teilnehmer:innen ein umfassendes Verständnis der Herausforderungen und der Chancen im Zusammenhang mit nachhaltigen Lebensmittelsystem zu vermitteln und sie zu inspirieren, unabhängig von ihrem geografischen Standort, einen positiven Einfluss auf ihre Gemeinschaften zu nehmen.

Vita: Mehret Haile ist eine bemerkenswerte Persönlichkeit mit einer facettenreichen Karriere. Sie ist nicht nur als Ökotrophologin, Ernährungs- und Kommunikationsberaterin sowie als Food-Journalistin, sondern ist auch eine erfahrene und dynamische Agile Coach. Mehret ist eine engagierte Verfechterin der Ernährungsgerechtigkeit und glaubt fest daran, dass der Zugang zu Lebensmitteln ein grundlegendes Menschenrecht ist. Eine ihrer großen Leidenschaften ist die Erhaltung und Vermittlung des Wissens um indigene Pflanzenarten und autochthone Rezepte. Sie setzt sich dafür ein, diese Resilienz fördernden Aspekte der Lebensweise in Gemeinschaften zu bewahren und zu verbreiten, und dadurch Menschen zu ermächtigen, ihr Leben autonom und selbstbestimmt zu gestalten. In Mehrets Arbeit nimmt die Rolle der Frauen einen zentralen Platz ein. Sie erkennt die entscheidende Rolle von Frauen in der Vermittlung und Bewahrung kulturellen Wissens und setzt sich daher besonders für sie ein. Dieses Engagement ist ein wesentlicher Bestandteil ihrer Arbeit mit AFFRA Hub, einem Start-up, das ein Netzwerk von Unternehmer:innen im Agrobusiness-Sektor in Kenia aufbaut. Als Leiterin für Food, Culture und International Collaborations bei FUTURE FEMALE AFRICA ist Mehret verantwortlich für das AFFRA-Projekt. Hier bringt sie ihre Leidenschaft und jahrelange Expertise im Lebensmittelsektor zum Tragen, um das kulturelle Wissen zu erhalten und weiterzuentwickeln.

Beyond her music career, ONEJIRU's dedication to women's empowerment led her to become a spokesperson for Music Hamburg Women, actively supporting and promoting women in the music industry. The co-initiation and co-founding of the "SISTERS" band project demonstrate her commitment to amplifying women's voices and promoting diversity.
