European Network for Women in Leadership (WIL Europe)

WIL Europe is a nonprofit committed to the promotion and advancement of the professional and social interests of women in leadership positions and aspiring female leaders across Europe. Since 2010, we have acting as a platform whereby such women can meet and exchange, network, enlarge their horizons, and identify opportunities and ideas that are not readily available in their social and professional environments. We achieve our mission to connect, inspire and empower women to lead the way through our high-level events, networking and activities to raise our members’ visibility, as well as through our Women Talent Pool Leadership programme.

Digitalisierung / New Work

New Work – welche Bedeutung hat es im Unternehmen?
New ways of working, particularly remote working, put teams in the driving seat, leaving them to decide how they wish to manage their time. It's a revolution!

New Work – welche Methoden setzen Sie ein?
We have adopted a hybrid method of working, with the team splitting their time between home and the office, as they wish.

Wie beeinflusst und verändert die Digitalisierung ihr Unternehmen?
It impacted us hugely during the sanitary crisis! In-person events are the bread and butter of what we do at WIL Europe, and these suddenly became impossible in 2020. Online networking, workshops and high-level events enabled us to keep connected to our members, who are based all across Europe, and to keep them connected.

The behavioural key to leadership: Respond vs React
We will explore how to keep your calm, poise and authority in all situations that require you to be in the lead. As leader, you are in charge not only of getting something done or a situation resolved, but of other people’s development. They may have totally different personal experiences of situations or challenges. At the same time we also need to develop our own leadership skillset, and do not always have external guidance. “Respond vs React” is a powerful technique that allows you expand and utilise your behavioural repertoire in a mindful and deliberate manner.

How to successfully manage todays multicultural or international working environment: cultural diversity, inclusiveness and communication.
Digitalisation impacts our working environment and, yes, it is important to understand the consequences for work processes as well as how to manage new tools. But we must also remember that successful interaction between us - human beings – is changing. This session will focus on how to best interact with and navigate today’s working environments, which are now mainly multicultural and diverse. It will focus on the top three factors influencing such interaction and give concrete tips and ideas on how to successfully navigate multicultural and diverse working environments.
