Building Peace through Tech: Empowering Women through Digital Skills
In this talk meet Alejandra Ramirez and the Women Program initiative by ReDI Munich. Alejandra will share the reasons behind this initiative and the role that technology plays in peace building at the local level and in gender based projects. She will share the journey of a group of women providing digital skills for refugee and migrant women to accelerate their integration in Munich and consequently improve their wellbeing. Together these women are building peace by meaningfully changing the ways they access and use technology.

Details zum/r Referent/in Alejandra Ramirez
Vita: Alejandra Ramirez is leading the Digital Women Program of the Tech-School ReDI Munich. She was born and raised in Mexico. She studied International Relations and has Master in Conflict and Peace studies. She worked in international projects in Argentina, USA, Venezuela, Spain, Tanzania and Mexico. Now she lives and works with her husband and son in Munich. Inspired through the digital transformation and ReDI school´s programs she also started to do her first steps in coding and understands not only the perspective of organizing and leading tech classes but also participating in it.
