Warum Frauen genauso gut in High Tech sind und wir mehr davon brauchen
Technologiefirmen, vor allem in Deutschland, sind immer noch sehr männlich geprägt. Nicht nur der Mittelstand, auch die großen Firmen und Startups tun sich schwer in unserem Land, Frauen als Technologietreibende zu verstehen. Dabei kommt es gerade bei Technologie-Innovationen darauf an, diese mit dem höchstmöglichen diversen Blickwinkel zu betrachten. Ulrike Tagscherer erzählt von ihren persönlichen Erfahrungen und Lessons Learned aus mehr als 20 Jahren im Technologiebereich. Wie sie wurde wer sie ist, wie sie Herausforderungen genutzt hat, um zu wachsen und welche Rolle ihr Partner und Familie dabei hatten.

Vita: Ulrike Tagscherer is Chief Innovation Officer of one the largest robot and automation manufacturers in the world. She has always worked in high-technology and innovation areas, with a focus on making innovations work for the customer. Her strength is in taking others on the innovation journey, learning as they go along and keeping the drive and resilience when difficulties arise along that way. She is supporting women in tech and strengthens diversity wherever possible.
Dr. Ulrike Tagscherer is the Chief Innovation Officer at KUKA since 2019. She started in the Corporate Innovation Office at KUKA in 2017. From 2015 until 2017 she was Deputy Department Head for Business Model Innovation at Fraunhofer Society in Munich, Germany. Prior to this she spent 7 years as an Innovation Systems Researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research in Karlsruhe, Germany.
From 2000 to 2008 Dr. Ulrike Tagscherer worked in the Department for International Business Development at Fraunhofer Headquarters. In 2004 she became Director International Business Development Asia and was heading several offices in different Asian countries.
She is a member of European Women on Boards (EWOB) and participated in the EWOB C-Level Program in Spring 2022. She is also a member of the German Chapter of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International). From 2010-2015 she was Member of the Advisory Board for the Canadian non-profit organization Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC). Since 2019 she is member of the Advisory Board of the German non-profit organization Stifterverband – Research Statistics GmbH.
Dr. Ulrike Tagscherer studied geography, political sciences and Chinese studies at Heidelberg University and Tsinghua University as well as the First Foreign Language Institute Beijing. She holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Geography and Chinese studies.
