Alia Kohl has been responsible for building and managing the Frankfurter Allgemeine brand for over seven years in her role as Deputy Head of Central Marketing at Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GmbH. Her work aims to establish the foundation for strategic, clearly defined, and consistent communication. By strengthening the brand through a distinctive brand presence, attention-grabbing campaigns, as well as events and strategic partnerships, she helps position the F.A.Z. in a highly competitive environment.

Before joining Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GmbH, Alia Kohl earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Economics at the Institute of Journalism at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. She then pursued a master’s degree in Corporate Communications/PR at the same institute, which included a study abroad semester in Utrecht, where she took courses in International Advertising. Various internships and student jobs — including at ZDF and the content marketing and PR agency fischerAppelt — further deepened her fascination with strong brands and the media world.

Born in Saarland, Alia now lives in Frankfurt by choice. In her free time, she loves discovering new places, cafés, and restaurants in and around Frankfurt, reading books for her book club, staying active through sports, and painting birthday cards with watercolors.
