Annette v. Wedel is the owner of the consulting firm ANNETTE VON WEDEL CONSULTING, which she founded in 2018. Since the end of 2019, she has also been Chairwoman of the Board of female.vision e.V., which she founded. After studying business administration at the University of Göttingen, TU Berlin and the London School of Economics, she worked as a management consultant for several years. In 2001, she moved to Deutsche Bahn AG. After holding various management positions in Group Strategy, she became Head of HR Strategy and most recently Head of Diversity Management until 2018, reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer. With her expertise, she is committed to more diversity in the (working) world and the necessary changes to organizational and working culture. In order to start a public dialog that encourages change, she founded the “female.vision” initiative at the beginning of 2019, which led to the founding of the non-profit “female.vision e.V” at the end of 2019. Annette v. Wedel is one of the initiators of the BMAS research project “KIDD – Künstliche Intelligenz im Dienste der Diversität” and lives in Potsdam.
