Dr. Seher Abbas

Program Manager
Körber Pharma

If a girl from a tiny village in Pakistan, carrying only a dream no one around her had dared to dream, can build a life across borders maybe the world is still full of possibilities.

Dr. Seher Abbas is a scientist-turned-strategist who empowers the pharma industry through digital transformation. Born in a tiny village in Pakistan where no one in her family had ever heard of a country called Germany, Seher received a PhD scholarship and moved abroad — becoming the first woman in her family to pursue a scientific career in Europe. With a doctorate in biochemistry and neuroscience, she began her journey in pharmaceutical production before transitioning into tech-driven pharma operations.

Today, she works as a Program Manager at Körber Pharma, where she leads MES (Manufacturing Execution System) programs for global companies like BioNTech. Her work bridges science, technology, and execution helping pharma clients accelerate deployments, reduce delays, compliance and drive innovation at scale.

Beyond her professional role, Seher is deeply committed to empowering others. For over eight years, she has volunteered her time to mentor students, support international talent, and guide women navigating career transitions. She has spoke at numerous universities across Europe, inclusing a TEDx talk sharing her story and insights with diverse academic and professional audiences.

As a keynote speaker and career strategist, she shares practical insights, personal lessons, and bold encouragement with growing communities online and offline. In 2025, she founded PharmaOtech, a vendor-neutral leadership circle uniting pharma and tech leaders to solve digitalization challenges together with students at the table. Her approach combines empathy, strategy, and relentless action. Her motto: “Dreams are possible. Goals are possible, for those who dare to act, persist, and play the game.
