Lilli Fischer
Political scientist, communications strategist, and local politician; personal advisor and online communications officer at the Thuringian Ministry of Justice, Migration, and Consumer ProtectionLilli Fischer is a political scientist, communications strategist, and local politician. For several years, she has worked at the intersection of political communication, strategic public relations, and administration. Currently, she serves as a personal advisor and online communications officer at the Thuringian Ministry of Justice, Migration, and Consumer Protection. Her political career began early: while still in school, she founded the Student Parliament in her hometown of Erfurt, the city’s first youth participation body. During that time, she also advocated for students’ interests through the State Student Council. This early engagement led her to take on various roles within a political party and its youth organization—today, she serves as the district chair of the Junge Union (Young Union) and as a member of the state executive board of the CDU Thuringia.
Since 2019, she has been an elected member of Erfurt’s city council, bringing her perspective as a young woman into local politics. She serves as the spokesperson for youth policy and is a member of the Committee for Urban Development, Construction, Environment, Climate Protection, and Transportation.
Alongside her main professional role, Lilli Fischer is active on several supervisory boards, including as chair of SWE UmweltService GmbH and Kaisersaal Erfurt GmbH. In these roles, she particularly advocates for transparent decision-making processes and modern administrative structures. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she co-initiated the podcast “Womensplaining” with Nora Zabel, where they discussed current political, societal, and cultural topics from a female perspective. Their goal was to make complex issues understandable—with conviction, humor, and depth.
As part of a new generation of leaders, Lilli Fischer is committed to increasing the visibility, networking, and support of women in politics, administration, and public life. She brings this dedication into her daily work at home as well: she co-founded a women’s network in Erfurt and champions the advancement of women within her party.
Currently, Lilli Fischer is pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science, with a focus on democracy, the state, and coalition research.
