Sinem Nazlı Demir is a crime reporter and author based in Germany and Turkey. She holds a master’s degree in Human Rights – Politics, Law, and Society from Fulda University of Applied Sciences and is currently a project assistant in the DFG-funded research initiative “SaFe – Shaping Future Society.” She previously worked in juvenile prison in Istanbul as a volunteer and worked in a high criminal courthouse as a crime reporter, focusing on cases of gender-based violence and child abuse. She authored her first book on femicide in Turkey and is currently writing her second book on the stories of girls who survived sexual violence. At Feminizidmap, she contributes to the team through her work in press and media relations. Feminizidmap is a feminist civil initiative that documents femicides and gender-based killings in Germany. Through data visualization and critical media analysis, it aims to raise awareness, demand accountability, and advocate for systemic change. 3.
