Vita: Anika Bornschein is Managing Director and CFO of Deutsche Asset One GmbH, a Berlin-based investment and asset management company specializing in German residential real estate. In her role, she is responsible for Finance & Controlling, IT & Digitalization, Compliance & HR. She leads key initiatives in digital transformation and data strategy, driving automation, transparency, and integration across financial and operational processes. With over 15 years of experience in the real estate and finance sectors, Anika combines deep financial expertise with a strong understanding company building and the evolving role of technology in asset management. Prior to joining Deutsche Asset One in 2010 (initially through its predecessor Dupuis Asset Management), she held senior finance positions at Grupo Lar and PwC, focusing on portfolio & asset management, financial structuring, and real estate advisory. Anika is passionate about building robust governance frameworks, using data as a strategic asset, and aligning ESG and compliance standards with financial performance. As a strong advocate for digital innovation, she champions cross-functional collaboration between finance, operations, and IT. She holds a B.A. in Real Estate and am M.A. in Finance & Accounting and continuously expands her expertise in leadership, digital strategy, and sustainability.
