Silvia Wiesner works in the Consumer Practice Group at Egon Zehnder in Hamburg and has extensive experience in marketing, sales, and general management in the consumer goods industry across various European markets. She inspires her clients and develops clear visions with them, supported by her multicultural background. Silvia is passionate about promoting diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusion in leadership and executive teams.

Before joining Egon Zehnder, Silvia worked at Unilever for 17 years, most recently in Brussels as Managing Director for Belgium and Luxembourg. Previously, she was General Manager and Vice President of Marketing for the food business in the German-speaking region.

Silvia completed her degree in Business Administration at the University of Graz and spent a year abroad in the USA. She has taken various courses at Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, INSEAD, and the Corporate Governance Institute.

Outside of her professional work, Silvia is a member of the Executive Committee of European Women on Boards, advocating for gender parity in decision-making positions in Europe. She was selected by BeyondGenderAgenda as one of the “Top 100 Women for Diversity” in Germany and recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. She is also a member of the LEAD Europe Network, the Club of European Businesswomen, and the Corporate Governance Institute. Additionally, she mentors for the EMEA Fellowship Program of the Marketing Academy and for nushu Female Business, and advises IMAGINE (co-founded by Paul Polman) on strategic issues.

She believes in partnerships (“If you think you can do it on your own, you are not thinking big enough!”) and regularly gives keynote speeches in Europe on topics such as Positive Leadership, Courageous Leadership, and DE&I in the Metaverse.

Silvia is a mother of a daughter.
