Values are the foundation of her actions. Aysel Osmanoglu wants to help shape society and is convinced: Social and ecological changes in the financial sector are necessary to secure the future on our planet. The financial sector is the key sector of a profound transformation, as money can be directed to where it does good. Aysel sees money as a tool for shaping society.

The issue of gender and generational justice drives Aysel Osmanoglu. In her experience, young people know very well what sustainability means and how it can be implemented. For her, it is important to sincerely listen to young people and make our decisions with the next generation in mind.

Aysel Osmanoglu was born in Bulgaria in 1977, later emigrated to Turkey with her parents and came to Germany at the age of 18 to study. She studied economics and business administration in Heidelberg and Frankfurt/Main and holds a degree in banking. In 2002, Aysel Osmanoglu started at the then Ökobank as a working student, was then a trainee at GLS Bank, and from 2013 was divisional manager for basic business and back office. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Executive Board of GLS Bank, responsible for employee development, infrastructure and IT. Aysel lives in Bochum with her husband and daughter and rides her bike to the bank every day.
