Details about the speaker Angelique Mesch
Vita: Angelique Mesch holds a master's degree in business and engineering. On completion of her studies at Clausthal University of Technology, Ms. Mesch took her first step on the career ladder as field engineer working on offshore facilities for Baker Hughes. She then moved to various global positions in technical sales, program management, engineering and product management to now being a digital transformation consultant. She has always worked in a male-dominated environment, in which she learned to assert herself. Ms. Mesch aims to pave the way for future generations, to which end she organizes career workshops, gives lectures and regularly brings people from different professional backgrounds together. She is currently working on solutions towards increasing process efficiency, developing new products/services, improving manufacturing processes and creating the basis for the use of technologies such as ML and AI. Angelique Mesch is a net4tec pioneer, committed to working together and close the gender gap in technology.

Details about the speaker Cécile Deprez
Vita: Cécile Deprez studied Geomatics at the University of Liège, in Belgium. After four years of research in the field of satellite positioning, she joined the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in 2020. There, her research focuses on the integration of new technologies (such as laser links) in the future constellations of satellites used for positioning.
At DLR, she co-founded and coordinates two women and gender minorities networks (in total > 460 women), in which are regularly organized invited speaker talks, discussion rounds, technical seminars and networking activities across the 30 locations and 55 Institutes of DLR.
On the side, Cécile is active as a public speaker on the topics of sexism and microaggressions in STEMM fields as well as on allyship, LGBTQIA+ inclusion and visibility of women experts.
As a volunteer, she co-founded and currently manages the Belgian branch of the French association Pépite Sexiste, called Sexisme Flop, which calls out brands making use of sexist advertising on social media.
For 1.5 years, she has also been acting as coordinator of the Women in Aerospace Europe (WIA-E) working group on the topic of Visibility of Women in STEM.
